There is a week left until exams and soon everyone will be studying. All the students are trying to cram all the past eighteen weeks into a few nights. Racking their brains for a few hours of work. Yet it is done the scores come out and there is usually disappointment and relief. All in all it is over and people are happy that it is. That also means a new start and closer to the end of the year.

Only a few more days until break. I really can’t wait. Its going to be a blast. There are tons of sweet things to do, such as Christmas, my birthday, New Years, sledding, snowball fights, and maybe some snowboarding. All it is great! I love the snow and winter its just the cold I don’t like very much. Speaking of my birthday I am going to try and have a smashingly good one.

Every now and again there tends to be reminders in life of what you need to focus on or that things aren’t as bad as they seem. Most the time it isn’t are person telling you. It happens a lot when you least expect it too. Sometimes its just something that you wrote down or an event that happens that lifts you up. These things do happen in life. Its the ups and downs that make it up and make it what it is.

I’m not really sure what to discuss this time around so lets talk about gaming. Gaming seems to be a large portion of childhood and teen years now. Take for example a web design class has probably half of it have major gamers and a total of eighty percent play games. It can result of good and bad. Kids don’t get out as much but they are more tech savy.

Thanksgiving is one of the best holidays of the year. I personally love it because I get to spend so much time with my relatives I hardly see anymore. We all gather together and eat our well prepared meals. Some of the food… well desserts are family tradition that we have. One of them is my grandma’s date cookies. I know it doesn’t sound appealing but it is really good. Anyhow most holidays do end up loosing their original meaning but that is ok sometimes because it still brings a sense of togetherness around this time of year. Thats all I have to say about that. Throughout the years people have always created science fiction. Weither it be in novels, movies, or shows. A lot of times it inspires the research and discovery of an actual science. Writers often thought of fantastic ways to improve human life in stories and create a technology that doesn’t exist. In this we often see that much of it is actually possible even if it is with slight variation. One example  is the computer and all its functions. People use to say that it can hold memory and have images in the future. We know now that is easily possible. There are however even better examples that I can not think of currently. Maybe the human exosuit is also one being worked on.

In society there tends to be a pendulum effect. It often starts swinging towards I side and thought pattern of society for a period of time. After a period of time it starts to go in the opposite direction. For example it often goes from more of a conservative thought pattern to a more liberal and vice versa. Looking throughout our history shows that this is true. However some “swings” are much stronger than others. In this if a swing is too hard I believe that it will completely go off balance and not correct itself but go into a kind of “destruction”.

The book I am currently reading is about a autistic boy and the murder of a neighborhood dog. The book is written from his perspective and shows how he feels and how he percieves the world. As he tries to find out about the dog’s murder more unfolds than he had planned and more mysteries are started. One being the death of his mother and the letters addressed to him from her.
